“Two days in Sapa -exploring Vietnam 2013”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Arrived in Sapa early in the morning, hotel was not booked yet so we had time to explore the area and to see two rooms of different other places before enjoying the Sapa Luxury Hotel.
As soon as we saw the room we wanted it because of its big seize also because of the electric heating system of both room and bed. It was January and there were 4 degrees Celsius but we did feel very comfortable and warm.
The hotel has breakfast and a big terrace facing the paddy fields which unfortunately we did see due to the foggy weather conditions of those days.
The nicest part of this place, in addiction to its location just in the heart of the village, are the people who are managing it. They are amongst the most welcoming persons we met in Vietnam.
We would like to come back one day soon!

We arrived in Dec 2012 by early morning train. Were picked up at the station as promissed. Were served breakfast and at 8am start hiking with the local guide arranged by hotel. The room was not ready when we arrived but it was expected. When we returned from the hiking we got our room on 3d floor with the view of the mountains. Room was very big, as well as the bathroom ( it was middle category room, what we booked, but were upgraded to VIP)
Breakfast plentyfull and tasteful. Hotel arranged all our trips and hikings.
Location is half a block from the market and central plaza and on the way to Cat Cat village- no tour needed here, easy walk down, with georgeus views Last day when the train leaves in the evening, we could use their showers/towels ect before the trip after day of touring- nive touch
Sapa is compact, very clean safe and nice. People from colorful Hill Tribes add the charm
Fantastic service and advice from receptionist who wanted to be calld 007.
We would stay here again if come back to Sapa,

Room Tip: it is worth to pay a little more for upgraded room. We had street view but it was quiet, and we had...

Our family - My wife and I with our son 13yo and 11yo daughter had three nights at Sapa Luxury Hotel just prior to Christmas 2012 and we all wished it was longer. The family owners were very friendly without being pushy and we got two rooms both with brilliant views down the valley. We thought this hotel is located well in the main town with great views, Cat Cat village out the front to the right down the hill and the main market area 200m up the hill to the left. We were luckily to have experience the full cycle of weather at Sapa in this time there with the first day beautiful sunshine. The hotel staff were very helpful with recommendations and tips with best options for purchasing goods from the local markets. At the last minute based on reasonable weather the Hotel organised a day hiking tour to three villages guided by Hmong ladies which we all thoroughly enjoyed and with kids the car trip back up the hill (after a great lunch) to Sapa was very much welcomed. The rooms we received were all we needed at a reasonable rate of $25US/night and this included a good breakfast. Thanks Sapa Luxury for memorable stay and I would say that at least someone in the family will be returning in the future.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back do not have windows/views but are a little cheaper.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in December 2012 and found it to be a clean and charming spot with exceptionally helpful staff! I recommend booking a trip through the hotel (may result in an upgrade to the VIP suite). If you are booking a trip, I recommend asking for Nu (tour guide), she's excellent!

The staff at this hotel (which is centrally located) went out of their way to make our stay extremely enjoyable (from ensuring that we had appropriate footwear, to cleaning our muddy shoes, and taking steps to ensure our overnight train tickets were available upon arrival at the station).

I highly recomment this spot!

Room Tip: Book a tour and you may get a VIP room!

Our first experience with the Sapa Luxury Hotel was the voice of Reception when we phoned to book. Unlike other enquires made elsewhere by phone, our booking was instantly and graciously dealt with leaving other details to be sorted later by email.
We were not disappointed on our arrival as our expectations of civility and co-operation were
instantly gratified with a warm welcome, a hot cup of Cinnamon Tea and every help available.
Our five day stay was fully catered for as the room was equiped with everything we would need, including TV, computer, heater, closed in shower in spacious bathroom, coffee making facilities , a fridge and a huge comfortable bed. Nothing was too much trouble and all tours were arranged at the hotel desk in the lobby. We would both recommend the Sapa Luxury Hotel to anyone contemplating a trip into the high country of North Vietnam.

Room Tip: Top floor front rooms look out over the beautiful valley. The balcony in front of rooms is equipped...

Stayed in VIP room and Hotel Staffs had specially arranged for honeymoon decoration in room :) What a surprise! Staffs were friendly and helpful whenever I enquired about something. Breakfast was good though it was the same for the 2 days. Hotel location is good with nice eating restaurants, sapa market and lots of North Face shops jus round the corner:) However as it was winter and it was freezing cold in Sapa, we found that the room was a bit too cold ( even with the heated blanket and electric heater in room, we still found it abit too cold for us to take our bath. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at Sapa Luxury :)

This hotel was by far the best from all the places we experienced in Vietnam. We felt really spoilt - the rooms are very very spacious, the staff is very nice, welcome drink at the arrival, a glass of hot wine after our full-day walk in the mountains, excellent breakfast. Definitely recommended.
