It was very convenient to find our hotel literally where the boat dropped us off. However, that is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. The room was not so clean, infested with insects and we had no window. The room was lit by a TL tube, the air conditioning was not working and we had no hot water. We experienced several power cuts in the one night we stayed there.

The staff was very nice, but spoke only little English.

The floating restaurant was nice, but the smell coming from the river was not so nice to have dinner in. I noticed a cockroach on the table cloth, but the food was good.

the thuan loi is a one star hotel with a floating riverside restaurant and is used by adventure groups as it is clean,helpful and has a romantic floating restaurant on the mekong river...a few steps from the markets and only 500 dong by tuk tuk to victoria hotel if you use their fast boat to phnom penh...hot showers and air conditioning are other features of this hotel...if you go with sinh travel from ho chi minh city to p.p. on their 3 day/2 night tour this will be your back up hotel and if offered the choice my advice is to take the thuan loi option...
