“our dinner & visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

when i received a recommendation from a good friend who's in the food business (like me), i knew this was going to be a winner. a central location with stunning Balinese architecture. The staff was gracious, lovely and sincere. Disappointed we did not stay on property but had a traditional dinner cooked outside by the chefs. It was authentic, delicious and just magical. The next time we return to Bali (and yes, there will be a next time), we do plan to stay on site as everyone and the surrondings made me feel like Balinese royalty!

Dear NYCInBali,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and others. We really appreciate your description and point of view. As you know our little Tugu is a well kept secret and who else better than our guests can describe their experience with their real and honest comments and with their own words; everybody has a different story to tell after staying with us and every stay is also different; which is part of the Tugu experience. It makes all of us, the family of Tugu, so happy to hear that you had enjoyed your Warung Tugu dinner in the open air kitchen at Tugu Bali.

Thank you and we hope next time you will be able to stay in one of our Tugu Hotel and look forward welcoming you again

Regards,

Stephanie Jaton

“one of the most beautiful classic buildings in Bali”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

the central area is stunning! huge and the wood and carving is excellent. there is a museum with fascinating history of Bali and a stunning large dining room for groups (almost chinese style). I do not stay at Hotel Tugu - beyond my budget - but I take my visiting friends there to see the beauty of Bali. And I swim at the pool when I want a bit of luxury (buy a drink or food and they are happy for you to use their pool). Exceptional place. Not run of the mill. Classic

“WOW looks like a palace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

Wonderful architecture, only 12 years old but looks like it has been there for decades. Pop in for a G&T and soaked up the ambience. Friends Michelle and Brett checked out the rooms and like us are looking for a special offer to this one.

“Wonderful experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

My wife and I had 5 wonderful days at Hotel Tugu...The setting is ideal being right next to the beach without the madness of Kutu. Rooms are huge and staff were very friendly and helpful. I surfed great breaks right in front of the Hotel each morning, then had a swim in the beautiful pool and a great choice of breakfast meals to select from. As mentioned the pool is spectacular and quiet. We had 2 romantic dinners on the beach which were wonderful...as well as several other sumptuous lunches and dinners in the unique hotel ambience. The menu choices were quite varied with Indonesian dishes as well. The spa treatments were heavenly...overall a once in a lifetime pleasurable experience...We hope to go back again !!
