“Excellent place to relax and unwind.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Stayed here for 8 days in March and it was just such a lovely place to unwind and relax. Everyone was so friendly and it was amazing value for money. The breakfast was refreshing and made as you liked and always served with a smile. Anyone coming to Canggu/Echo Beach should make this your number 1 choice, you will definitely not regret it! One must is a moped, all sorted at the hotel and adds a great way of getting around. Will definately come back again. Karl

Welcomed by name into the perfect room in a true oasis of garden and pool. Finally the 'old balinese feel' of an amazing modern hut in a luxury of palms, frangipani and the best outdoor bathroom. I'm sure we will be staying here again on our next trip. Thanks Don and Justin for making our stay so memorable. Ric & Martina

I recently returned to Voyager and cannot thank Don and Justin enough for their hospitality and helpful information to make my stay in Bali so fantastic. The staff and drivers were extremely attentive too. Ida provided cooking lessons and we had the chance to taste the best, beautifully cooked, authentic Balinese food, and the breakfast is spectacular. Voyager has a relaxed atmosphere, with beautiful décor, and it is easy to socialize or be in a quiet private place to read or sunbathe. Perfect. The pool is sparkling and the gardens are stunning. I had wonderful massages in my room. Photos do NOT do the place justice. I was very sad to leave!

Room Tip: All the rooms facing the pool are spectacular and have aircon. Rinjani room has a jacuzzi which was...

Voyager is the perfect base for a Bali surfing trip, even in the wet season. I stayed for three weeks and loved every minute of it. The staff helped me rent a scooter at a great rate for the duration of my trip. I would leave early every morning, ride to my surf guide's pick-up, about 10 minutes away, and then travel to great east coast surf spots such as Serangan, Padang Galak, Ketewel, Green Bowl/Ball, and Gunung Payung. I surfed all morning and then returned to Voyager for a rest.

On the way home I would stop at Warung Bu Mi, which is a 5 minute or less walk from Voyager, for a great Indonesian meal Rp 20000 or less. Then I'd wash the salt off in Voyager's perfect pool and maybe have a nap in my quiet, air-conditioned room. Later on cocktails were in order, enjoyed with the other guests in an informal, fun atmosphere. One of the benefits of Voyager is its intimate setting which allows you to get to know fellow guests from all over the world.

I also found that even though it was the wet season, the west coast waves were still very surfable, and Voyager is 5 minutes from great surf at Berawa, Canggu, Tugu, Echo Beach, and Perenian. It also isn't very far from Kedungu. Lots of great surf to be had all around.

One of my other habits was visiting Butter Cake Shop near Canggu Club. Great cake, great coffee in a small air-con shop. They made me a great birthday cake too.

Voyager is ideally located for someone who wants to spend time in a more rural part of Bali, but who still wants to be close to the beach, restaurants, bars, warungs, and shops. The new paved road to Seminyak makes the trip so easy (about 10 to 15 minutes, I guess). Laundry and mobile phone credit top-ups are a 1 minute walk down the road. Everything is so close to Voyager and yet you have rice fields and frog choruses on your doorstep.

Last but not least, Ibu Ida's breakfast pancakes are to die for!

What a delight to arrive to a welcoming home from home after a long trip. The breakfasts were just perfect, the pool an oasis especially around noon when things warm up - it is shaded by two large palm trees although be careful as the tiles around the pool can be slippery during rain or with wet feet. This was the rainy season but it was a refresher to have bursts of rain mixed with sunshine and the island is quieter - a good time to visit. Ida and the staff are super helpful but not intrusive at all, the location is great for adventuring day trips by scooter, in the surrounding area there are fab restaurants and some of them deliver to you - Betelnut, The Canteen, The Beach at Echo Beach for some spectacular wave watching and all offering delicious food - Warung BuMi is also a must and nearby. The rooms are a nice size and stylishly decorated without being over the top. Don and Justin are a delight - friendly and there if you need them but you really feel that you can have a private time. They have exciting plans for the border of the property with a few more rooms, a restaurant and fun events like Monday night movie nights. This will not sacrifice the current boutique essence of the property but give you a few more services and things to do. Coconut Bale is a gorgeous room, simple and very private. Loved it and can't wait to go back. Thank you so much Don and Justin.

Room Tip: Coconut Bale is a lovely private room tucked around the back of the property - all other rooms face...

Loved my stay in Voyager and I wished that I could have stayed longer. The place is absolutely beautiful. We got a cozy small room, tucked away in the corner of the villa to give us all the privacy we need. Lovely breakfast each morning and the pool is an absolute plus on a hot day.
The beach, general store and warung/ food stalls are just a walking distance away. This place was exactly what we needed.

Room Tip: The only problem we had was that there were plenty of insects in the room. It would be great if you...

We went to a romantic trip in October 2012.
This is a wonderful place where you want to go back.
Don takes as his friends, he was very helpful to us in the study of the island and a visit to the most interesting and good people.
A single day, we had spent in vain.
Very good-natured, polite and hardworking staff.
On the hotel is very clean, everything is neat and tasteful.
The atmosphere around, gives fully understand the life of the Balinese.
Get from the hotel to the sea walk 5-10 minutes to the beach for surfers, where almost no one is in the morning.
If you go to the center, the staff will order a taxi to get there, no problem, at low cost.
In the photo, the beauty of the hotel is understated, for the money, this is the best that can be found in such comfort and coziness.
I did not want to leave. Feel at home.
This is the place where you want to go back!
Thanks Don and Justin and your staff!
You gave a wonderful stay!
