“Beautiful grounds and comfortable accommodations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

This place definitely exceeded our expectations. The one bedroom villa was massive with king size bed, sunken shower/tub, large bathroom, and big seating area. The pool was a bit green and maybe not as well maintained as it could be. Breakfast was good though a bit repetitive. Room was cleaned daily. You definitely need some transportation as this place is out of the way, but cost $5 US a day to rent a motorbike which will get you around nicely. Just be careful, as the other drivers are not always on the alert.

Room Tip: You won't be disappointed with any of the Villas.

We initially booked at Mimpi Manis but were sent to Fare Ti'i instead as discussed on the Mimpi Manis review page. We assume they are both owned by the same company.
We stayed at Fare Ti'i from the 19th-25th of September.
Fare Ti'i is a beautiful quiet oasis to hide and relax from the busy traffic of Bali. It is situated in the Canggu area approximately 45 min west of Denpasar. Therefore you will need to organise transport if you want to get anywhere other than Echo beach, we used a private driver. The villa is in easy walking distance to Canggu beach and Echo beach. Both have good places to eat, drink and watch the sunset. There is no restaurant at the villa, however you can order in from several places that deliver from Echo beach. We really enjoyed walking to Ombak café or Echo beach café for dinner and a few drinks while the sun went down. We also liked the convenience of ordering in when we wanted to. There is a small basic shop opposite the villa for emergency supplies like water and limited snacks, although we preferred to shop at the larger mini marts in town which our driver would take us to.
We experienced three of the villas at Fare Ti'i, the first was a little basic with no fridge, kettle or working tv. However the other two were fully equipped, truly excellent villas, although lacking tea and coffee, we bought our own.
Breakfast was cooked each morning by the pool. We were served a plate of fresh fruit and provided fresh tea and coffee. Breakfast was usually eggs with toast and then some mornings we were cooked pancakes or french toast. The cook was very friendly as were all the staff.
At times we felt a little too secluded as the villa complex was at times deserted. There is no reception and no real contact point to book tours or get advice. This was daunting for us as it was our first trip to Bali, luckily our driver which we booked before we came was really helpful we really would have been lost without him. A big thank you to Yoyok from Balimadetours.
The staff although extremely friendly spoke little English and at times this proved to be problematic.
If you have been to Bali before and you are totally self sufficient and after a beautiful relaxing quiet villa then Fare Ti'i would suit you.
However if it is your first time and you need more guidance and tour ideas etc. maybe choose somewhere that has a manned reception or a concierge of some sort readily available.
For improvement Fare Ti'i could have their Mimpi Manis manger Julia come down once a day at breakfast for example to liaise with the guests as she speaks very good English. Also a selection of up to date activity brochures would be great. A place to make tea and coffee would be fantastic either in each room or in the communal area. Lastly the basic villa we were in to start could easily have a fridge and kettle put in there as well as fixing the tv.
Overall Fare Ti'i with a few small tweaks could be one of the best in Canggu.

Room Tip: Avoid the two villas at the front as they are a little to basic. the rest are all great.

My first thoughts when the villa doors were opened for us: Wow! It's exactly like the pictures. And you can't say that for a lot of hotels these days. The place is perfect to unwind, relax and spend a quiet afternoon in the pool or by the bar with your partner. If you're there to move around, you'll find this to be a bit far off from Bali civilization. The famed Tanah Lot temple is about 30 mins away, but after that you'll have to travel a lot. Lunch and dinner is not made at the hotel, so make sure you either eat out or ask the caretakers for the Echo Beach House Restaurant menu in advance. Breakfast is served at the bar by the pool - an experience no one can complain about. Overall, it was a perfect one night stay and a great way to start our holiday in Bali.

Firstly they messed up my booking. I booked a 2 bedroom villa and got a different smaller villa Bali. They say the price is the same. The villa I booked was double the size. There were guest in the other villa so they didn't give it to me. Unacceptable.
The villa Bali I got was a smaller villa with shared toilet between the 2 rooms. Rooms were clean and good. The kitchen just have a small no tiny fridge. The beds were good. Aircond good.
The breakfast was not good at all. Pancakes. Eggs. Bread. Juice and coffee. I mean the taste is ok but not what you'd expect for a breakfast menu in a villa.
The pool was nice.
The staff was friendly enough.

Room Tip: Villa Bali is a 2 bedroom villa with shared toilet a small kitchen with an even smaller fridge.

We arrived at Farettii Villa in the middle of the night and was quickly escorted to our Villa Kamboja, a two-bedroom Villa. We were entralled at the intricate Balinese architecture which adorned the door of the Villa and we noticed the next day that each of the six Villas at Farettii had its own unique architecture and located in its own enclave.

The two bedrooms were spacious and equipped with own tvs. The first bathroom was huge and came with a bath tub which my son had a great time soaking in. The second bathroom came with a shower and wc. The Villa was also equipped with a kitchen, complete with its utensils and a spacious dining area.

Faretti Villa is located in a small village in Canggu, hence the serenity of the place. It's a walking distance to the beach and there's a grocery shop just outside the Villa for your daily needs. It has a beautiful landscaped garden and a nice swimming pool for a refreshing dip.

We loved the serenity of the place where you could only hear the birds chirping and no sound of traffic at all. Service was also very personalised due to its low density accommodation.

The Villa however did not have any tea/coffee-making facility and we had to request for the kettle and tea/coffee which the staff obliged.

Overall - service was excellent, great location (away from the hustle and bustle of the city) and easily accessible via taxis to all other places of attractions in Bali.

Recommended for long-term stayers, honeymooners and those who prefer a peaceful surrounding.

We booked a room at Mimpi Manis, but we got replaced to the Fare Ti'i hotel which is from the same owner. This was ok for us since it was far closer to the beach, and we were staying for one night anyway. The bungalow we got assigned to was very large with a huge bedroom, huge bed, tv, toilet, bathroom with bath, and a separate room with a shower. However, the place wasn't very clean. There was a cockroach in our shower, and there were plenty of dead flies in our bathtub. The sheets weren't very clean either. However, the place was fairly cheap and quiet. Staff members who work there don't seem to speak a good English, so sometimes communicating was hard. The only one who spoke a good English was the person preparing breakfast - which was pretty good and fresh. The place is about 10-15 minutes walking from the beach - but we thought Canggu didn't have the nicest beach around. For dinner, it is better to go to Echo beach since there are more eating options there. We paid €55-60 for one night, including breakfast. There is a small pool at the hotel, but it didn't seem anyone was using it.

From the moment we were met at the airport by Ketut to the moment we were delivered back to the airport we had a fabulous time. The villas are gorgeous and not in a busy area so you don't have the sounds of scooters going past all night. The pool was lovely with relaxing day beds & reclining arm chairs. The included breakfast was lovely and made for you at the bar each morning. Ketut was available each morning to help you plan what you wanted to do including organising for massages and facials in the room. Bicycles are provided to get around, there is a shop directly accross the street for drinks etc and the food places at Echo Beach are just a short walk along the beach. We will be returning here for sure.
