“Its good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Hotel is good, room size is okay, the stairs are terrible, hotel's rooms are clean, the pool is good, food is okay, overall its a good experience, although the air conditioning was too noisy. The staff was friendly.

Room Tip: pool view rooms

Checked in on 22nd Feb 2013. First impressions were not great as we had to wait sometime at reception for being checked in.
Secondly the hotel, has 3 building blocks of which one is old and 2 are new with pool view and better rooms. We were put in the old block which I didn't like again. I saw the foreigners occupying the rooms in the new blocks.
The food here is ok, but lacks variety specially in deserts. The staff gives more importance to the foriegn guests and tends to ignore indians. I guess thats the reason this hotel is preferred a lot by foreigners.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in the new building blocks facing the pool.

I stayed 8 nights at this hotel with my daughter. The hotel has a good location and atmosphere and the room was nice and very clean, although the air conditioning was too noisy. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good with both western and indian dishes. The pool was good when traveling with children.

It is though not right on beach but beach is hardly 200 meters away.

Pool is really good with sun beds. They have space for a bar by the pool side but it is not operational.

Room sizes are really good. We booked a suite for ourselves and it was pretty big in size. Later on we shifted to a pool view room and again the room size was ample. It has a small refrigerator and LCD screen.

Bathroom sizes are also good. Breakfast buffet has a good choice but do not expect luxury.

Room service is a bit slow. They have books which you can lend to read.

Room Tip: Always ask for room with a pool view. These are in new building

For this year, we decided to let loose and bask in the sun near the kovalam beach. Our experience was outstanding with Jasmine Palace. The team were excellent in terms of everything from the time of arrival. The property lends an idyllic environment where we just switched off the cell phones and the Black berry and dug into the Pool, sea sand and purposefully walked on a surprisingly clean beach. The hotel and the surrounding seemed packaged in 'green' and we settled to the chirping of a family of birds outside near the pool, who seemed to be telling us to relax. The service was nice and non intrusive and we were left alone without too many persistent calls. Any little query was answered with committed fervor. A brief yoga session let us relax more and the limbs got stretched . The elegantly breakfast buffet was definitely our best meal of each day, the taste lingered much after the trip ended. Our daughter enjoyed with more children and we winded up flipping through a picture history of Kerala. The entire experience at the hotel and at the beach just reminded us that we need to take these breaks more and more often ..

Room Tip: Pool facing rooms

Rooms were excellent were put up in room with very good pool side view. The A/C rooms with other amenities were good and spacious. The hotel staff as well was good. we were here for just 2 days but the hospitality was good. Nice garden clean pool water. Being NON-vegetarian we had food which was outstanding and breakfast too. The hotel is just 2 mins away from the Beach. I recommend this hotel for good accommodation at a budgeted price.thanks for the wonderful experience!!!!

Room Tip: all the rooms are good and spacious but try getting a pool side room :)

The hotel stay is good but only this hotel lacks in it s approach or reception area or lobby area which can be made more attractive. A good thing of this hotel is being near to beach and small market. The unique feature is that hotel has fairly good library. The restaurant is ok, food is good but can be improved.
