If you are looking for a quiet place to soak up the sunshine, go for strolls along the empty, beautiful private beach, swim in pools with the most gorgeous views, watch the sea eagles soar from the comfort of your hammock or get pummelled by the jolly ladies in the Ayurvedic centre, then book a break at Bethsaida now.
The grounds are exquisite, there is more than enough space for you to find your own private sun spot or shady hammock and you can interact with people as much or as little as you choose. Yoga twice a day, all sorts of treatments, badminton, table tennis - you can be as active or relaxed as you like.
The rooms are spacious, simply yet tastefully decorated and very comfy. You fall asleep and wake to the sound of the waves. The food is exceptional and even if you are a die hard meat lover, you will be spoilt for choice with the delicious veggie food on offer here. I ate like a king for the whole time I was here but left feeling nourished and stuffed with health as opposed to a big bloated biffer.
But what really makes Bethsaida special apart from the setting, the food and the sunshine is the warmth of the people who work here. Whether you come alone or with someone else, you are made to feel at home the second you step through the entrance gate. This is first rate Indian hospitality with no falsity.
It is the epitome of chilled out and I left feeling like I had been away for 3 weeks rather than 7 days.
What's more is that all the money you spend on your drinks, your treatments and so on all go towards supporting the orphanage, the hospital, the schools, the internal training programmes and all the other great projects that Freddie and the folk at Bethsaida support.
They don't bang on about all the incredible stuff they do but know that staying at Bethsaida you will feel good, and also do some good. That sort of holiday is priceless. So go now. Please.
