“This place is great, without a doubt!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

I stayed in the one bedroom apartment on the front of the building. It is wonderful. The apartment is just about as clean as it get can (I am not sure it can get any cleaner). The bed is large, full fluffy pillows, large comforter, etc. The kitchen is complete with pots, pans, everything a person needs. There is laundry facilities for $3.50 a load (wash and dry). The parking lot isn't very big, but there is plenty of safe parking along the street. They offer a real good cable TV package and WIFI. The enclosed deck overlooks the water. It is beautiful. There is a coffee shop just a few hundred feet way. Close walking distance to town. Definitely has my recommendation.

Room Tip: I really liked the front, one bedroom apartment. Wish I lived in as nice a place!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2012

We spent four nights here in January, 2012, just to see Petersburg in the off-season, and had a great time. Cherise made us very welcome and fed us excellent baked goods (more than we could eat).

The rooms, common area, and kitchen are immaculate and well stocked. We bought halibut and salmon at Coastal Cold Storage downtown and cooked it for two evenings and these were some of the best dinners we've ever had on a vacation. We had fun watching videos on the big screen TV, and just lounging and reading on the comfortable couches with an outstanding view of the harbor.

We recommend this B&B very highly, and we would eagerly stay here again.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any of the rooms.

We were traveling on the ferry and just stayed one night. Cherise picked us up late at night at the ferry and upgraded us to the apartment room. The room was very nice and the kitchen was well stocked for our breakfast. We would certainly return for a longer stay.

Stayed many times; New owners are wonderful.
Clean and neat and two very good quiches in the fridge that Cherise made for us.
When (on a weekend) we ended up with the wrong propane tank for our fishing trip , she contacted someone she know who made it right before we climbed into Pacific Wing's beaver. Totally above the call of duty.

Room Tip: The 'studio' is totally self-contained.

Although we only stayed one brief night at Nordic House, we would recommend it. We stayed in Room 4 which is actually a small apartment type accommodation with a separate kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Cherise met us at the airport and showed us around town (not much really) before heading to the B & B. Our kitchen was stocked with breakfast supplies and Cherise also delivered muffins to us shortly after arrival. At one point, we looked out the front window and saw deer grazing on the grass – that was pretty cool. The following morning, we were driven to the dock to meet our boat. There’s really not much to Petersburg and we didn’t go in to town once arrived since it was pouring rain the entire evening. Unless catching a boat out of the dock, frankly a skip-able town. If you do go, Nordic House was a great option but it’s not really convenient to anything if you don’t have a car.

Very comfortable and spacious accomodations. We stayed in "the apartment" which had it's own kitchen, living room, TV, and bedroom. The kitchen is well stocked so you can fix your own fresh fish you can easily get at the dock or one of the markets. If you stay in one of the other rooms you will share a kitchen and living room area with 3 other rooms on that floor. The common area had washer and dryer, a well stocked community library with print and video, 2 lovely decks overlooking the harbor where we could watch the floatplanes land, the eagles looking for scraps from the fishing ships, and view the mountains in the distance. It is a 10 minutes walk to the quaint downtown with various restaraunts and shops. Generous servings of fresh baked goods such as muffins and fratata's for breakfast with fruit, cereal and granola bars always available. The hostess was very helpful and friendly making our stay extremely enjoyable.

This was one of the cleanest and friendliest Bed & Breakfasts my husband and I have had the pleasure of staying in. Its right by the harbor....an enjoyable 5 minute walk downtown past the many fishing boats moored there.

We got a twin room which had its own TV with cable, and every convenience you could possibly wish for. Ferry pickup, and drop off at the Airport on departure was included plus a nice breakfast, and it was much less than the Scandia House was quoting.

Petersburg was alive for the Little Norway Festival held annually each May. Its a great little town and we'll be back next year for the Festival.

Aussie travelers K.C. and wife.
