We visited the farm in June 2007 while staying in Palmer and had a wonderful time. Our main reason for attending was to ensure that we saw caribou while in Alaska, even if they were in captivity. The presentation at the beginning was very interesting and worthwhile. We not only were able to feed the many reindeer, but we also fed the resident Moose a banana (Moose saliva is gross all over your hands, but what a thrill).
Other animals at the park included elk, bison, and deer.
I would highly recommend this experience. The animals are great and the location is beautiful. Once you are done with the presentation and have received your instructions you are free to wander at your own pace for as long as you want. Children would love it.......
