“Palmer Visitor Center and Gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

Friends had recommended a stop here and we found it very worth while. The young women were very knowledgeable and helpful. There were free hot beverages and clean restrooms. They provided all we needed to visit within the region and were good with directions.
We also enjoyed the beautiful flower and vegetable gardens with some huge specimens to be seen.
The one negative was a display of tattoos which seemed totally out of place. When mentioned to the young woman at the counter, she seemed embarrassed that they were on display and said they had many negative comments about the fact they were in a visitor center at all. Other than that, it was a great stop.

“Good Little Information Center with Great Garden”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

This information center provides information about places to stay, hotel and bed and breakfast vacancies, etc. But that's not all. There are exhibitions about the town's history and descriptions of local businesses. My only complaint is there was more information than I needed about the local tattoo parlor, including a display of inking tools, but that's minor. What makes this center unique is its experimental garden. Once you pass through a gate there is an Alaska-sized rhubarb, giant cabbages, and lots of flowers and plants. It was lovely to get off the highway and stroll through the abundant greenery. It's relaxing and amazing.

“Loved the Visitor Iinformation Center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

It's small but learning the history of Palmer is half of the town's charm. One has to give the founding families an awful lot of credit for their tenacity. Take a picture with the huge cabbage. What a welcoming town. Loved it.
