“Worn down but functional”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

We stay here for one night before heading out for an annual wilderness lodge trip. You have to stay someplace in Kodiak City and the choices are not great. They have a shuttle from the airport that is really convenient. The rooms are worn out and the beds are a little lumpy, but the place is clean. The breakfast is average and satisfying. The lobby, like the rest of it, needs a little updating. The price for the room for what you get is pretty outrageous.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Kodiak, the location is great, you can walk into town. The room was fine, unfortunately the walls are really thin so we were unlucky to have noisy people staying above us, waking us up at 6am. Breakfast is a standard buffet.

This motel is not new or exciting but the location was great since we didn't have a car. If you do rent a car, I would suggest one of the b & b's. Not too many choices in town for motels. The room here was ok. Had a noisy upstairs neighbor. Bed and linens were fine.

We just returned from a trip to Kodiak and we spent 2 nights at the Best Western. It was very nice! The room was clean, bed very comfy, convenient location. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The free airport shuttle was nice and the driver was also friendly and helpful. We would stay there again! They could use more parking!

This hotel has much unrealized potential. It is located right across the street from the harbor and is just two blocks away from Kodiak Island Brewing Company.
My room was dirty and had a view of the parking lot, right at bumper level. The room was very noisy due to the old creeping floors. The bathroom was generally dirty and the tub didn't drain. If you must stay here, get a room on the top floor for less noise.

Large clean rooms. Friendly helpful personel. The best free buffet breakfast I've had in a motel. Convenient location. The restaurant serves very good food, may be a little pricy but it is Alaska What more do you need? I recomend it to anyone going to Kodiak.

If you wish to be downtown within walking distance of almost everything, this is your place. The property is a bit dated, yet not an issue. It was very clean and secondly most important very quiet. Breakfast is included (for us, anyway) which is a big bonus. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I do not recommend having dinner in the dinning room, but that is a topic for an additional review.
