“Awesome Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

My daughter and I had a fantastic time with Amber and Vicki. We booked with them directly as a shore excursion while in Ketchikan. They picked us up at the ship and drove us to the cove, sharing valuable knowledge on the way. The sea cycles were easy to use and we stayed dry. They provided waterproof pants and jackets just in case. We were able to get many terrific photos and learn about the area while burning off some of the cruise ship calories. The delicious salmon dip and other snacks provided upon our return were definitely appreciated. Getting away from the crowds and shops was wonderful and relaxing. I highly recommend this tour!

“Fantastic Unique Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

There was 2 of us with my wife being almost 70 years old and not having any navigation problems. She had a Heart Attack the month before and the excercise was perfect. The owners are fantastic. We had a sea lion/sea otter follow and play with us all the way across the bay. The snack was perfect and we were fortunate to have a coupon from the Alaska Coupon Book but even full price would have been worth the experience. We were on a NCL cruise. We will do it again when we come back to Alaska

“Children Friendly Ladies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

My sister and I had by brother's children, 8 and 10 years of age, in this trip and we both left with the best impressions of safety, friendliness and patience, and entertaining them by letting get the crab basket traps which they still talk about. Of course we're picked up and dropped off in time and I loved the snacks and fruits at the end. I'm a fruitaholick it gets my attention when that's done. Four of us absolutely loved it and children cherish the memory with both ladies. Is good to see girl power.

“So glad we signed up for this - up close and personal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

We saw incredible sights and were able to pick up one of the crab pots. We were looking at all the jellyfish from the docks but were able to actually pick one up from the Sea Bike. Its a nice change from all the other excersions because we were so close to nature and it was so quiet out there with out all the thousands of people on the cruise ships. We were able to ask tons of questions and really got a sense of Alaska its creatures and its people.

“Unique Up Close Shore Excursion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Things were a breeze. We were picked up by Vicki and Taylor and brought to Totem Bight State Park. Beat the crowds from the cruise ships, it seemed like we had the park all to ourselves for the next 45 mins. Vicki and Taylor then told us of how the park came to be, and stories of the various Totem poles. Definitely very informative and entertaining.
We got a brief safety briefing and then we were on the water. The sea kayaks are awesome, feels extremely safe (my wife does not swim and would never go on a kayak), easy and loads of fun (think of a Flintstones style boat powered by your feet). We spent almost 2 hours on the water around Ward cove. Lovely place, got very close to a harbor seal, saw salmon and jellyfish swimming underneath and also saw our guides take out their crab pots. I was also told that half the time you may even see a bear. I would highly recommend this tour, it's indeed a hidden gem so once the word gets out people will be lining up for it. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable locals that live in Ketchikan year round. It was nice being able to chat with them as we were driven between attractions and while sea kayaking. You get to learn a lot about what a wonderful place it is and leave with great memories of your trip here.
