“Tatoosh Island Kayaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

We went on an excursion from a cruise. We absolutely loved our Kayaking excursion! It was a blast!

KT was our guide and took it slow going out on the Blue Boat to the Tatoosh Islands to make sure we all got a good a glimpse of a whale that was hanging out. She also pointed out a seal and some eagles that were hanging out too!

Once out there Jared, Adam and KT helped us navigate our way in the Kayaks around some of the Tatoosh Islands. We had so much fun! All of the guides were informative and made sure to point out any wildlife in the area. We saw starfish, eagles, seals, and lots of feeder fish. We had so much fun!!

I took my camera and they had dry storage for it and they explain how to use and do everything so if you are a first timer do not worry! Just go and enjoy it!

I would recommend this excursion to anyone! It was so much fun! You also get to see some wildlife up close!

“Well-run, informative, great exercise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

We kayaked through Southeast Exposure as a shore excursion from a cruise ship. A small bus took us from the ship to Southeast, where we were provided with everything we needed to enjoy our trip (kayak, life vest, kayak skirt to keep us mostly dry, dry bags, storage on land for larger items, and rain jackets, if needed). The facility also provided a restroom. Our guide, Forrest, was knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area, and also took some cool pictures of us while on the water (greatly appreciated). This was our second time kayaking in Alaska and our fourth time kayaking overall. We're in relatively good shape and our arms and core got a good workout from this trip. Definitely recommend - great way to see Alaska.

“Eagle Island Kayak”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

Never kayaked before, but this was a wonderful experience! For those that haven't kayaked, they give you a "skirt" to fit around your waist and attach to the kayak so that waist down stays dry. Saw humpback whales, sea lions, an eagle, lots of starfish and a black tailed deer (guide said that seeing the deer was rare). Highly recommend them for kayaking.

“It was ok - not much wildlife”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

We went kayaking in the last week of May 2013. We had signed up for it in advance with descriptive terms such as "Eagle Island" and maybe seeing some whales. Although the guides were first rate and were both knowledgable and friendly the wildlife was VERY sparse. First, Eagle Island is a small island just few minutes away from the Adventure Center and consisted of two Bald Eagles which were so high up in a tree, sitting in a nest even with a 300 mm zoom lense it was very difficult to see. There were no whales or dolphins or seals. A previous post said "we saw lots of star fish, and muscles and sea urchins. Thats all true but I didn't come 3000 miles to see something I can find while walking around any beach in California. It your looking for a relaxing time and you enjoy kayaking then this is the tour for you. If you're looking for whales...take an excursion dedicated to just that.

“Eagle Island Sea Kayaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

My wife and I went out on the Eagle Island Sea Kayaking tour and it was fantastic! Our guide's name was Shane and he was terrific; very nice and knowledgable!! We saw tons of starfish, muscles, jelly fish, bald eagles, and sea lions. Definitely worth your time if you are in Ketchikan! Have fun!
