“Good for lunch, not our choice for breakfast.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2011

The lunch menu offered some nice casual dining choices, sandwiches, mexican etc. The cafe was busy so service was a bit slow but time wasn't an issue. Whilst promoting free wifi and seeing some people using it I was told it wasn't available until later in the afternoon. Almost seemed like a tourist rule.
We ventured back the next day for breakfast but unfortunately the choices were not what we were after. Very limited with mostly continental type choices. The range of tea and coffee was good and the quality of italian brewed coffee was great. Its conveniently located at the end of Creek Street.

“Good coffee, pleasant environment!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2011

There are not very many coffee shops in Ketchikan, and even fewer that have good coffee. New York Cafe is a very pleasant eatery and coffee shop. The service is a bit slow, and free wifi is only offered after 5:00 pm due to the number of people that come through. If you're looking for a little snack and some coffee in a comfortable setting, I recommend this establishment.

“Best coffee in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2010

Ketchikan seems to have a lack of coffee shops but it does have this one which is excellent. Wonderful coffee and cakes and a great view of the marina.

“Easily the best casual eatery in town...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2010

Easily the best casual eatery in town. The food surpasses the higher rated restaurants in Ketchikan and the service is great. The smiles and greetings even strangers get makes you feel like a valued regular.

“Great Place to Get Internet Access!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2010

Stopped in late last summer because I asked a bazillion local folks where I could get computer access & finally was steered here.

Great folks run this and the internet service is really affordable...they have wine & beer available as well as great coffee...and, cute t-shirts (I bought a wonderful steel blue one!)...will be back this summer...at least now I know where to go!
