“A perfect place to see the salmon spawning....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Creek Street offers a perfect deck area to watch the hundreds if not thousands of salmon swimming upstream to spawn. There are some cute shops in the area and one with my favorite T shirt....."spawn til you die"....so appropriate for the area. Grab an ice cream cone from one of the shops and stroll through the area. If you have kids with you they will love watching the fish.

“Do an excursion instead”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Unless you really want to spend hours and hours shopping, there's not much here to see. It's charming architecturally, but that's it. Oh and you could rent a pole and go fishing (when the salmon are running).

“Nice walk but over-rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

We had a nice stroll up to and along Creek Street. It's definitely a scenic area, with plenty of history. However it's been over run by tourist shops, and much of the authenticity is lost.

“Cool place to walk around”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Creek street is essentially a boardwalk along the salmon creek - but there are houses, shops and small restaurants all along it. It is also the home to Dolly's House. It overlooks a salmon stream and we were lucky enough to see a seal hunting Salmon while we were there.

If you go to the end of Creek Street, you'll hit "Married Man's Way" which is a dirt path connecting Creek street to another road through the woods (it was used as a short cut/hidden way to get to the brothel - Dolly's house).

“Lovely area near the bridge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Nice to stroll and shop at many cute places. Stop at Dolly's and rent a fishing rod to fish off the bridge across the street. For $50, you get a pole, license, hooks and 2 hours of fun fishing! Just like catching fish in a barrel, said my husband.
