“Lively place to stop for a beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Yes, we were one of the many folks coming into town from our cruise ship. We stopped into the red dog because of the lively atmosphere and stayed to enjoy a few beers and live music. The Alaska Brewing Co. Amber was my favorite and my husband enjoyed the stout. We stopped into the attached store and picked up a few T-shirts which a big hit with our family back home.

“Watering hole for the Tourists”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

Pretty typical tourist bar - this place lives off the thirst of the cruise ship clientele through the summer. The assortment of Alaskana memorabilia on the walls is interesting, if typical.

“Outstanding service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Read the reviews on Red Dog Saloon prior to a cruise line excursion and wasn't sure time I would have time to visit- as luck had it as my wife and I were returning to ship I managed to pop in for a "quickie" (beer). Laura, my bartender, was most delightful and very efficient with handling the cruise ship crowd I was part of. Enjoyed our casual conversation and learned a few things about Juneau I would've otherwise missed.
Although I Didnt have time to experience the food, it seemed obvious from the delightful faces most patrons were happy with every aspect of this place to include the unique atmosphere, excellent service, food, and especially the beer variety.
Thanks for a wonderful memory and hope to make it back sometime in the not too distant future.

“A little hokey, but definitely fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We stopped at the Red Dog Saloon for lunch during a port call in Juneau. We'd been in Juneau before on other cruises and hadn't taken the time. This was our plan for the day -- we had a decent lunch at (considering the it IS a tourist attraction) a reasonable price. Part of what you pay for is the entertainment value. We got prompt attentive service. We enjoyed the funky kitchy decor and the piano player making up slightly bawdy lyrics to well known songs on the spur of the moment was a treat.

“Fun, Fun, Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

The Red Dog Saloon was a great port in a storm (cold, rainy Juneau day). We had a blast in a packed bar with sawdust floors, cold beer, great entertainment, and absolutely everything hanging from the walls. Lots of fun and worth the stop.
