The beet salad I ordered was small and poorly presented - chunks in a big bowl with about 1 pecan's worth of nuts atop. But they did have Alaska Amber Red!

“I don't get it”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

I tried this place twice. The people were kinda dick-ish and the coffee was horrible. But I do hear now that that is reversed (at least the coffee) and I see they are packed all the time. I have also been told and have heard nothing but positive reviews, in fact, glowing reviews. But crappy takes a while to heal. We'll see in the future.

“Great food and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Thanks to reviews in TripAdvisor, we were able to visit this wonderful eatery in Juneau. It's right in town and extremely convenient to most hotels...it was just around the corner from ours. I had emailed about a month in advance and was told that it was a small place, but Travis said that he'd try to hold a table for us. We stopped by, in person, during the day (they are open for b'fst and lunch, as well) and introduced ourselves and set a time to be back with a total of 8 people. They couldn't have been more accommodating and the space is limited, so it was a really nice gesture. The food was wonderful...with several selections of fish and meat and a small, but good, wine list as well. U should also save room for desserts!! A wonderful find in this small town.

“Excellent fresh local fare”

Menu changes daily based on local sources. The crab dish with asparagus was superb. Highly recommend.

“Quality cuisine in Juneau - finally!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

After years of sharing with fellow travelers to Juneau that there were no real quality dining options, we discovered the Rookery. Cutting edge, creative, a little Seattle in downtown Juneau. Can't wait to return.
