Owner description: A bustling community center all year 'round, the Juneau Arts & Culture Center (locally known as "the JACC") is home to the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council Gallery featuring monthly exhibits by regional artists, the Lobby Shop, filled with unique local artwork, music, and books, and serves as a venue for performances, parties, meetings, and presentations. Built in 1959 as the National Guard Armory, the facility has been operated by the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council for the past four years as a place to showcase, support, and encourage the arts in Juneau. Visitors will find the unusual, the oddball, and the unexpected here. During the summers, the Sunday Market on the lawn offers produce and arts and crafts, during the winter expect to find everything from cabaret to miniature golf. You can even wave to your friends from the live web cam: Let them see you in Alaska!

“A Juneau arts center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

For a small city, the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council center (JAHC) hosts an amazing variety of artist exhibits, sells tickets to many local music and arts events, rents space, and is located downtown.

“Some very good exhibits”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

We noticed it on the way to the state museum so we dropped in and bought some enamel pins made by locals.

Friendly staff and exhibits kept us there for awhile.

“The JACC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

There is usually something going on, lots of community events on the website, central to downtown, friendly staff, across from the convention centre which has the best info centre in town.

“Community Asset”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

This is one of the biggest assets the Community of Juneau has, it warms the Heart to see Individuals so devoted to the Arts in such a relatively small community - regardless of being the capital city, Juneau is still quite small.
This is one of the larger attractions in it.
I encourage anyone coming to Juneau on a trip, to make time to pay these folks a visit, you will not be disappointed.

“Check out our artists”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Now called the JACC and located right on Egan, our main artery, this is a showcase for our artists, musicians, actors, crafters, and spoken word spitters. It's a potpourri of talent, and you never know what will be on display out front or inside. Something is always happening.
