First, the helicopter tour was fabulous, it was my first time in a helicopter and I would do that again in a minute! The dog sledding however was a real disappointment. It was dog sledding with training wheels, to say the least. We were in a little sled behind the dogs, main sled, and the musher. I really did not have any interest in looking at the back of the musher the entire time. Plus, she did not seem to get a "personality" until the end, while handling the tour she seemed totally bored. Unfortunately, so were we. The "trail" was a big circle. Everyone else on the tour was going in a similar circle, so, in addition to the back of the musher, we could watch them too. Woo Hoo! I have been dog sledding in Jackson Hole, WY. THAT was a really great experience.
This was an excursion I thought thoroughly about before selecting because of the expense. This was on the Norris Glacier, another excursion might be much more fun. Ask a lot of questions before you book this one.
