“Glad we finally visited this after 4 trips to Juneau.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

What a fun time this was! We always avoided this tour during our previous trips to Juneau but it really is a spectacular place!
The tram is fast but the view is unparallelled.
The movie in the theatre is about the Tlingit culture and is very well done.
The gift shops are kind of unique and we had fun picking up some gifts.
Don't miss the Lady Baltimore and a replica of her nest.

The hike is spectacular and my kids thought it was their favorite thing about the trip. Very beautiful.

All in all, a great little sidetrip on a gorgeous day.

“nice tram”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Nice tram, should take the trail instead of show. We kept on watching pathetic show and couldn't do the trail.

Nice and scenic.

But the best thing in Juneau is helicopter ride for sure.

“Enjoyed the ride and the visitor center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Saw the movie in auditorium along with a live performance by the Alaska String Band. Their performance was free. We loved it. Had lunch at the restaurant. The bisque was outstanding.

“Pricey but scenic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

On a recent morning in Juneau before our planned excursion, we took the 1,800-foot ascent on the Mount Roberts Tramway. The views from the nature center and on the trails are breathtaking on a clear day, you can see the Chilkat Mountains and the Gastineau Channel, as well as all of Juneau. Expensive for what it is, but if you have the time to spend there, you can make it worth the value. And you can say (as my family wanted to) that you rode a gondola up a mountain on your vacation!

“a lasting impression”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

We recently visited Juneau as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise. Our very first shore excursion was taking the Mt. Roberts tramway. We are so glad that we took the time to view Juneau from this perspective. It seemed as if all the other cruisers were whale-watching or glacier-viewing that sunny July morning, so our visit to Mt. Roberts was rather quiet and tranquil without all the crowds. It seemed as if we were the only visitors to Juneau as we snapped photo after photo of the city below. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the adjacent trails for about an hour and a half. The views of Juneau were spectacular, and my hubby and I still talk about that day...the beauty, the height, the quiet. The whole experience definitely left a lasting impression.
