“Riding High”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

The Tramway is quite a trip. We watched the show up there and enjoyed it. The view is simplely spectacular! We walked some of the paths at the top. My only complaint is that the gifts in the shop are quite pricy. But I found this to be true of all offerings from the First Nations peoples. Fairly cheap ($30] and fun.

“8100 Foot High Ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

The fee was only 39.00 per person...On the way up a local and employee informed you of the history of Juneau..The indigenous trees, animals etc..Beautiful view, lovely nature center complete with a live bald eagle..Had a couple gift shops, and a restaurant with a view...And there were a few hiking trails but it was raining so we didn't venture on the trails....I would recommend it..You can stay up as long as you like and go up and down as many times you like within the same day....

“Way to get There from here.”

The quickest way up the mountain; but the trip and view were pretty pedestrian. It was a bit pricy for the ride offered.

“Cooooool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

A so-so excursion. I think it's $16/round trip. We had it included with the train ride package. It's about 5 minutes to the top. Once there, there is a nice gift shop (of course) and a bald eagle on display. We spent about 20 minutes up top. Not sure I would have paid for this on it's own.

“Great Way to See Wilderness and Learn About Native Culture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

This Tram gives a great view of Juneau. You can see the cruise ships and the bridge to nowhere (there are residents who benefit from the bridge to their homes on the island). Even on a somewhat cloudy day we saw land north toward the airport.

At the top, you can learn about Native Culture in their Auditorium. The woman was excellent to give background of her tribe, Chilkat. Also the 18 minute video was great. We were lucky, they had some Russian family who played musical instruments in the Auditorium. A lot of fun.

Next we took the short one mile trail, and saw some of the valley and Mr. Roberts.
