“Very difficult but worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

This trail is not for the faint of heart or weak of leg. It's a very strenuous hike going either up or down, but if it is sunny out the views are spectacular! The sixth Street trailhead can be difficult to find so you can look for that one or the basin Street entrance.

“Not your Grandmas Hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

But well worth it. To get the full run dont go up 6th street but start further north on Basin and see Mt Juneau as you climb.

“Bird's eye view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

This is a must-do in Juneau over summer if the surrounding mountains are not covered in cloud.
The tram up is expensive (over USD $30 return), but the fees also go towards maintaining the park and wildlife, and it's owned by the locals, so it's worth it. And you can travel on it unlimited times in a day
Up the top is a circuit trail, much of which is easy to walk (not including Father Brown's Cross - an extra challenge, especially with snow cover), and it provides stunning views of Juneau and surrounds.
If you are physically unable to do any of the trail, you can hang out at the complex and still take in magnificent views.
At the street level, Juneau is not particularly spectacular, but up here one can really appreciate it as being one of the most beautiful cities/regions in the world.

“Great Views”

This is a great trail with plenty to see. Wonderful views, beautiful trails, lots of greenery. Alaska scenery at it's best. Bald eagles all over the place.

“Slick Trails”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

It's currently pretty muddy going up Mt. Roberts trail, but the misty veiw of Juneau was fabulous, and the forest scents are not to be missed. so put on some xtratuffs and hit the trail.
