“Halibut in the House of Captain Patties”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

I spent over a year reading reviews on Alaska and all the places I must visit on the "WILD ALASA TOUR"
Well we came down to Homer fo fish for halibut in our motor-home trip across Alaska & decided that this was the best place to have fresh Halibut to eat. We were right! We had the lightly breaded halibut served with tartar sauce & home made "REAL " clams clam chowder. It was fresh and flaky.and delicious. It is not a big restaurant, but what was neat observed by my daughter, was the kitchen was on the 2nd floor & they used an elevator shoot /laundry shaft to send the food down. The staff was friendly and sure glad we came to eat with them that day.

“Great seafood and views of Cook Inlet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

We stopped here for lunch and both had the grilled halibut sandwich. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. Nice soft bun, fresh tomatoes, homemade cole slaw and nice crisp French fries. Everything was delicious and would highly recommend is place. Wonderful views of the Cook Inlet and snow covered mountains in the distance. Our server was attentive and friendly.

“Beautiful day, awesome view and food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Having lived in Seattle area we love fresh seafood but we currently live in TN so we don't get it nearly often enough. Captain Patties was perfect...on Homer Spit, mid August on a nice & sunny day. Wish they had outside seating! I had grilled seafood platter with cup of chowder and he had fried seafood platter so we shared the prawns, scallops, halibut and salmon. Bit pricey for lunch but normal for Alaska. Such a treat!

“Raw fish. Bad service. Dont go end of season.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

Delivered grilled sea platter with raw salmon on dish, admitted to it being undercooked and did nothing. Once we complained server only took off $5 from check.
Salads ving. Dressing super thick lke jam and did not taste good at all.
Server said they were closing in a week and you could sure tell by the food. YUCK. Pretty view though.

“Pricey, but plentiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

A real nice place on the Spit - if you are hungrey and want fresh seafood done right - then don't roll the dice. Pay the extra money and enjoy a great meal in an elegant setting. Service matched the food - terrific. As the saying goes - "You get what you pay for!" We were more than satisfied! Yummy local beers too!
