This bed & bkfst is located just outside of Homer. We stayed in the Dutch Iris Cabin. It provided comfortable accommodations for our family of 4 - with room to spare. A tiny living area, large kitchen/fridge/microwave, bathroom/shower, downstairs bedroom with a queen bed and a large loft with 4 beds and a sink. Kids stayed upstairs in the loft and enjoyed their "own space". (The stairs are quite steep - would not recommed for very young kids even though there is a safety gate at the top). We enjoyed our privacy downstairs. The only drawback is the bathroom - it has poor ventilation and the shower has "on demand" hot water so it took a while to "balance" a proper temperature. Not anything that would keep us from returning though! The cabin provides privacy and the location is so peaceful. Ample parking right outside your cabin. It's just a short walk to the main house where breakfast is served by wonderful hosts (Al and Marcia). THIS PLACE PROVIDED THE MOST AWESOME BREAKFASTS OF OUR ENTIRE 14 DAYS IN ALASKA. Everything is homemade and generous portions. Most important - delicious! Their pecan waffles were terrific - we are still craving them! If you have to go for an early halibut fishing trip, they will pack a sack breakfast that appears to have enough food for three people!! You won't go hungry at this place. Hosts were very nice. Enjoy!
