We spent our second night in Healy at this motel. It is quite new and a bit basic, but I can say that it is very clean and comfortable and the staff at the desk were helpful in calling to book our dinner theatre reservation. If you are just looking for a decent place to put your head, this is it! The breakfast is complimentary and again is basic and continental, but is adequate.

The decision to stay 15 minutes north of Denali for about half the price by the Park was a good one. The motel has 2 buildings set back from the highway with rooms' window facing the woods. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were available in the lobby. The room rate drops in Sept, so breakfast is not included, but the room had a mini-fridge. A guest computer is available. Healy is lacking in restaurants but after a day of touring, we were fine getting take-out sandwiches near Denali and take-out salad from Black Diamond and relaxing back in the room. The bed wasn't our favorite, but we slept fine.

We stayed at the Nord Haven for two nights (Sept 10-11, 2007). The hotel is located just off the Parks Highway about 12 miles north of the entrance to Denali. We were there late in the season, so breakfast was not available, but coffee and hot chocolate were. Otherwise, we can only echo what most of the other reviewers have said. The rooms are really large and comfortable, and everything is as good as advertised. Although the motel was close to full while we were there, we didn't hear any noise from other rooms. We are early risers, but remember that if you are on an early shuttle, you will need to add extra time to get back to the park from Healy.

Recently we stayed at Motel Nord Haven, and really loved it. We chose this hotel based on other reviews on TA. It is a quiet, peaceful place, well off the road. The staff was very attentive. The rooms are clean and spacious. We stayed in the building across from the office. It is a great location near Denali; 12 miles from entrance, plan on about 35-40 minutes for the drive/arrival and preparation for shuttle bus trips. We also welcomed the complimentary self serve hot chocolate. Reasonably priced! Highly recommend. It was also nice to have Rose’s Café next door.
