“Excellent Prime Rib dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

We decided to celebrate a birthday with the Prime Rib dinner. The prime rib was cooked to perfection (as it was on a visit last winter). The salad bar offered freshly made items and several dressings. The staff is very accomodating (as usual). We enjoy the atmosphere along with the beautiful view of the lake.

We picked this resort due to tripadvisors reviews. We were not disappointed. When driving in, the area around the lodge could use a little tidying up but when we entered the bar/restaurant, we knew we had made a good choice. It was beautiful. We were graciously welcomed by Krystal and made to feel right at home. Two years ago the lodge was returned to the old owners after a defaulted contract for deed so do not take into account any reviews before 2011.

The room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. Loved that there was a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in the room. The beds and pillows were comfortable and I slept very well.

Because we were leaving before the restaurant was open for breakfast, Krystal made us breakfast burritos the night before and brought them to our room. They reheated well in the microwave in the morning and were delicious!

We do plan on staying here again when we return to this area.

We stayed here on a Saturday night during a snow storm. The room was ok. Microwave, mini fridge looked new; Carpet may have been new as well as curtains. The bed was not but we slept ok. Paper thin walls as I could hear the guy snoring in the next room. In the lodge, My husband had the prime rib and enjoyed it. My food (I am a foodie so rather picky) was again, ok. I should have stuck with a salad instead of ordering prawns. (Silly me). Our waitress/bar tender was fantastic. Answered my many questions about how the food was prepared was a smile. She was the bast thing about our stay.

We were at the resort on Aug. 17th, 2012. The room was OK, Hot Water (YES), clean room inside. Restaurant does not open until 11:30 AM, NO other place to eat near by !
They treated us great ! Let my wife use the washer & dryer free. Room rate on the high side.

Room Tip: I believe all rooms the same

We booked our room based upon the location of our work site. We were 5 miles from our worksite which was the main reason for booking here. We pulled and had dinner before checking in, the food was amazing! REAL home cooking by Julie who is always pleasant and singing in the kitchen. As we were checking in, they offered us sack lunches and breakfast burritos for the morning. This surprised us as we were planning on bringing on a cooler and cold food for both. The dinners were always awesome, the lunches more than I could eat and the breakfast better than most. The rooms are just enough with a fridge, microwave, the bed was a little uncomfortable, the pillows were ok, but overall the place is a good base of operation if you're working nearby.

Room Tip: Talk to Julie, she'll set you up.
