We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2008. The home is beautiful, all built by the host! The breakfast area is beautifully built (and very Alaskan in feel) with large windows. Our room was not large but had a very comfortable bed, a room with a toilet & full bathtub/shower, and a sink (which was in the room itself--helpful when 2 people are getting ready in the morning). The family is very friendly and introduced us to some of the animals around. Girdwood is a perfect location--not far to Portage Glacier & Whittier and only 40 minutes south of Anchorage with beautiful scenery along the way. And if you time it right, you can see the bore tide at the entrance to Girdwood.

We stayed for one night at the Carriage House B&B. Rachel, the hostess, was very accomodating and provided us with a wonderful breakfast on the morning that we departed. The location is great, directly across the street from the Double Musky, one of the best restaurants in Alaska.

Stayed at this B&B for 2 nights. The hosts were wonderful and we had ample accomodations. The home is beautiful and we had a delicious breakfast both mornings. The location is excellent, 2 mins off the extremely scenic Seward highway, only 45 mins or so from Anchorage, and 1 hr 30 from Seward.
