“Creole/ Cajun influence”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

Appetizers were really good and the portions are decent size so you may be able to get away with ordering a few if you are not too hungry. We enjoyed the fried salmon and popcorn crawfish. Chef special dessert was delicious! Pecan and chocolate pie...yum! Upscale atmosphere comes with a price, but probabaly the nicest place in Girdwood.

“Indescribably delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

Ambiance is a bonus here!

The set up with ordering appetizers and beverages in the lounge is a great one!

The dining area is just a visual you have to experience. So.much to see and read.

The food - portions are definitely Alaskan - ginormous! The flavors are perfect!

We had lamb chops - perfectly cooked and seasoned, New York steak almost 2" thick and tender and juicy all the way thru, crab stuffed halibut was completely balanced flavor, nice chunky pieces of crab and chopped veggies.

Service was just exactly what you would expect for this kind of pricing - knowledgeable, personable and excellent timing.

Dress up or come in shorts and sweatshirt - this place will make you feel right at home!

“atmosphere, crowded, and huge portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Cajun, crowded and stylish. The special thing isnt the quality, its absolutly ok but not competing with gourmet temples in the town, it isnt the price .. its not a bargain, but ok .. its the atmosphere, liked by vistors and locals .. AND !! the portions are incredible .. even the appetizer (Nachos) are to much for a hungry hiker .. nearly all guests leave the restaurant with heavy boxes .. good if you expect to get a meal for next day microwave .. if you are not prepared, you leave half of your dinner on the table. We would appreciate offers for regular eaters :-) … like a lady steak.

“Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Locals in Anchorage suggested we check out the Double Musky Inn while in Girdwood and warned us that there would most likely be a pretty long wait for a table at dinner time which was true, however our party of three was able to grab spots at the bar and enjoy a cocktail and the awesome Southern decor while we waited. The wait was completely worth it! The menu was phenomenal and the hardest part of our dining experience was deciding what to order. Our server was top notch. Knowledgable about the menu, had suggestions when we asked, prompt and so positive and professional! I had the shrimp etouffee which was the best I've ever tasted and I only wished I'd saved room for desserts which looked delicious!

“A must when you visit Alaska”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Don't miss the Double Muskey !!
We had been told by friends who live in Palmer that the Double Musky was the best place for dinner in Alaska. Well, they were right. We enjoyed the scenic drive to the restaurant, had a few drinks while we waited for our table, and then were seated. Our waitress was great and the food was incredible !
Will be back !
