The hotel is no longer called the Microtel. It is the Eagle River Inn and Suites, which made it difficult to find since the Microtel sign was no longer there. The hotel was a nice clean place and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were small and there were glaring construction mistakes all over. It was comfortable but seemed to be built on the cheap. The main street outside is noisy and you need to keep the windows open at night because there is no air conditioning. If you do not mind being a few miles out of Anchorage the price is $100 cheaper than comparable rooms in Anchorage. I would recommend the hotel.
