Owner description: Reachable by hiking trail or four-wheel vehicle, Rarotonga's only fall is also known as Papua Waterfall, because water from the Papua stream spills down the cliff into a beautiful swimming hole.

“worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Nice bush setting to have a packed lunch. Did not swim there but would expect it would be popular in Summer.

“Not much of an attraction”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Bit of a pathetic attraction, lots of rubbish laying which was disappointing. Not much of a flow, massive mosquitoes that are very hungry.

“Holiday in Rarotonga”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Seen better in NZ, it was hidden well and not very accessible. Peaceful though when youve listened to the roosters all morn.

“Take bug spray and a map”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

We decided to check out this waterfall after some heavy rain, we drove past the road a couple of times because its not signposted. The road is next to the Sheriton hotel, what the map doesn't tell you is that the Sheriton is a derelict site nearly overgrown so look out for this. The road is a bit rural and the waterfall is kinda just there, nothing to write home about, if you want to tick the box pop up here for a 5 minute look, then drive off fast coz the mosquito's are mean!

“No Water”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

The waterfall was a bit disappointing, as there was no water flowing. However, the walk over the island with Pa was excellent
