Owner description: WELCOME TO MARLIN QUEEN FISHING CHARTERS!Serious about Big Game Fishing? Great so are we!Fishing aboard Marlin Queen is the ultimate game fishing experience in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. A successful blend of Rarotonga's best known and most trusted Captain (Junior) with a purpose built deep sea boat means a day out on the ocean doesn't get any better! We work extra hard to make sure your fishing trip is an unforgettable experience! Rain, hail or shine - we go fishing! If it's your dream to catch big fish, you will not find a more dedicated team to help you do it! As soon as you leave the Avatiu Harbour the water gets very deep, very quickly so no time is wasted in getting those lures into the water to find the "Big Ones". Sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular view of the island in a safe and relaxed atmosphere - unless of course you are on our "early bird" trip which leaves at 6am (and it's still dark) to the FAD's to meet the Yellow Fin Tuna when they rise for feeding. The early bird catches the worm - and so do we! The fishing in Rarotonga is great all year round and our well equipped boat has everything you will need. Whether you're a novice or experienced angler your enjoyment is guaranteed. We provide refreshments, snacks, comprehensive safety equipment, flush toilet and use the latest Shimano fishing gear. Captain Junior is famous for making his own lures - guaranteed to attract the Big Ones! Shared and private charters are available and you can choose whether you want to fish for a 1/2 day or full day. Our minimum is one person and for larger groups (over 10) we will organise your own "inter-boat" fishing competition, loads of fun for the competitive at heart. Want the "Ultimate Fishing Holiday"? We specialise in complete fishing, accommodation and transport packages, tailor-made to suit your individual or group requirements. We have a great range of accommodation and transport options to suit your every need and budget, so sit back, relax and let us organise your dream fishing holiday. Don't wait until you arrive in Rarotonga to book your trip as demand is high - avoid disappointed, book your trip now!

“Fishing Gods”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

If you want to go fishing in Raro you must choose the Marlin Queen. We went out on the smaller boat (Bobbie Marie I think) and it was the highlight of our holiday. Our captain Willy was a legend! He really knew his stuff and was a pretty funny guy too...we had heaps of laughs and got some good Tuna. Diane was lovely and made sure we had plenty of fish to take away with us.
Counting the days until we come back to Raro and booking another trip with Marlin Queen will be our no. 1 priority.
Thanks guys
Bronwyn & Freddie :)

Not a very successful trip due to time of year but skipper worked hard and we came home with fish. A good set up.

Hi there - thanks for taking the time to review us, we really appreciate it. Unfortunately it was a bit of a tuff month for fishing in July - just that time of the year, but hopefully we will see you in Rarotonga again soon and get you out on the water to try again! Di

“Best bet on the island!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

My wife and I went out with Willie and Pauro and a group of folks from Australia. Having visited the Cooks many (16?) times I can honestly say that this was our favorite activity in 16 visits, and we have tried almost all of them! The boat was great and well stocked, the crew was friendly and able (even though they had been out very late the night before landing a 175kg Marlin), Diane was a warm and welcoming gem of a human being, and that guy named Junior sure knows how to fillet a fish! What a great trip, worth every single penny and more. They were more than generous in providing the perfectly filleted Wahoo and Yellow tail that the boat caught to all the passengers! We will definitely return and go fishing with the Marlin Queen and her crew! We look forward to fishin' with Junior next time!

“Great fishing and great crew.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

I went out twice on the Marlin Queen and had a ball as the crew go out of there way to ensure that fish are caught.Great of Dianne to collect and drop off. First day the boat caught 2 Wahoo and 4 Yellow fin tuna.Next trip we went around the island and ended up with1 x Mahi Mahi and 6 yellow fin Tuna. They provide some nice fresh snacks although a couple decided to feed the fish . Must have done the trick ! Gear is well looked after.I would highly recommend as it was value for money and 5.5 hours of sheer pleasure and enlightening conversations with the crew.We were able to take what we could eat and there is nothing better than fresh fish on the barbie.

“Yummy Fish!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Although we fed the fish on the way home we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon fishing with a big mahi mahi and several tuna. We got to take some home to cook, was amazing! poached the mahi mahi in coconut cream and was delish! Seared the tuna and had it farily rare with fried banana, onions salad and chips! that was our best feed in the island shared with friends!!
Thanks guys for the great experience!
