“WOW!! Wedding Anniversary in Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! My husband and I celebrated our 20 yr Anniversary by booking an 8 night stay at The Pacific Resort on Aitutaki! Not only did I fall even more in love with my husband on this trip but fell in love with Aitutaki!
From the moment we arrived at the resort ... it was smooth sailing all around. The Resort Manager Greg Williams greeted us along with Belle who gave us the introduction of the Resort. Nothing was ever a problem. When I would enquire about certain activities or menu choices, we were always welcomed with a "let us take care of that for you, not problem." We looked forward to catching up each mooring with the staff either in restaurants, bar or cleaning our room.
We stayed in one of the Bure's right on the beach - Room 107 - our own slice of heaven. Each day we would snorkel, most days ride the bicycles around the island which by the way is the BEST way to see Aitutaki. We booked a half day Snorkel guide trip on the Black Pearl -that is a must do!
Also you must try the wonderful Amuri Sands Package at the Tiare Spa. Great way to exfoliate and be massaged!
My husband and I have stayed in Rarotonga 3 times, but Aitutaki is the place we will come back too..and The Pacific Resort is the only place for us to stay.
I pray that should you stay at The Pacific Resort - you experience the slice of heaven we tasted!

We expected our three nights at the Pacific Resort Aitutaki in Feb 2014 to be very good, but it was even better! It was like Paradise on Earth: luxurious and private beachfront accommodation set in park-like surroundings with stunning scenery, and excellent service: the staff were truly attentive and welcoming at all times yet were in no way intrusive and we received a personal welcome from Greg, the manager. We really were made to feel we were at home. The food was wonderful too. We also really appreciated the coffee plunger and real coffee in our room and sweet treats. We were also fortunate to enjoy extra peace and quiet because it was low season. Another touch that we really appreciated was the free availability of bikes to go cycling off and exploring the island. I have travelled a lot in many parts of the world, but I can say that both Aitutaki and Pacific Resort Aitutaki are very special indeed. We returned home to winter in Sweden with lifelong memories, lovely photos and a couple of surprise, lovely gifts from the hotel, and a personal goodbye from Greg. We will never, ever forget this holiday. Heaven.

We wouldnt normally spend this much on accomodation but as it was our 30th wedding anniversary decided to treat ourselves and really we couldnt have chosen better. This resort is absolutley amazing. From the welcome, to the rooms, the cleaning and waiting staff the service and just everything about this gem was impecable. We had a wonderful time and came away feeling thrilled with the whole experience.

Room Tip: all the rooms are beach front so what more could you possible want

From the moment we arrived at Aitutaki Airport the experience was flawless.

We spent the last week of March 2014 in a beachfront bungalow. The snorkelling out front was great and the wave 'noise' was much quieter than comparable resorts on Rarotonga, which made sleeping much easier and restful.

Rapae Bay did excellent meals considering the location and breakst selection a la carte and included in the rate.

Bring extra strong insect repellant!

The turn down service at the end of day was much appreciated - along with the nightly 'treat'!

Thanks to Greg and the team for making our honeymoon such an amazing experience!

Pacific Resort Aitutaki is amazing. We spent 5 nights there for our honeymoon and were very well taken care of. Both restaurants are very good and the staff are excellent. The snorkeling out front of the resort is great and the resort wasn't very crowded either. It has a very laid back casual atmosphere which we really enjoyed. Can't wait to go back!

Our honeymoon on Cook Islands started on Rarotonga for 3 nights then to Pacific Resort Aitutaki for 5 nights. We were blown away by our Te Manava villa on Raro and upon arriving at the Aitutaki Resort we knew we were in for something special.

Any picture postcard or online images you see of the Cook Islands and in particular of Aitutaki just don't do justice to the real life views, everything is impossibly beautiful.

Onto the resort itself, In my opinion, the most significant differentiator among service providers in any industry is the people behind the business and so to sum up our overall experience with Pacific Resort Aitutaki, it would be the people working at the resort that really made our stay the pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable time it was.
The staff from reception to restaurants to room service etc are all genuinely friendly and most willing to assist in any way to meet your every need or want.
I guess coming from Sydney - the BIG city - where just good service is hard to come by it really stands out as being remarkable when you encounter a uniformly team of genuine people all with the same positive happy mindset to make your stay most memorable.

The food at the Rapae Bay restaurant is exceptional, from breakfasts to dinners, the food is always consistently prepared to a high standard, ingredients are fresh, no frozen veggies here and the fish which we thoroughly enjoyed is caught fresh in the afternoons and served up hours later. Again we would be hard pressed to find an equal here in Sydney at the same value for money i should add.

Our room was very well presented on arrival, ideal finishes for a villa in paradise. As we are both architects with an eye for the details we were impressed with the design, finishes, fixtures of not only our room but the resort on the whole.

We hired a car for the day to get around the island and see what it has to offer and after a round trip of 27km we quickly realised that we had certainy picked the right place to call home for 6 days.

We want to say one more "meitaki atupaka" to all staff and Greg Williams, the resort manager who is clearly doing a terrific job behind the scenes in making this place tick which must be uniquely challenging on an island so remote.

We weren't sad to leave because we just locked up our Villa 200 and left the keys with reception, our new holiday home will be here waiting when we return for a holiday some day.

Room Tip: Don't book room 200, its ours!

loved the Pacific Resort. large room & very nice bathroom although no bath. having a private beach is great & the swimming pool was most attractive. the food was generally very good & all the staff were most helpful & efficient. we prefer no children as retirees but in low season there were only a few. would love to return.

Room Tip: we did not see any other room! do not know which side we were on but not a higher floor & we wer...
