Even if it's almost a year ago from when I was in this wonderful place, I remember every detail!
We went there for our honeymoon and we travelled 2,5 months with an around the world trip, but I really have to say that this spot has been the most beautiful one between all the places we have vitisted during our trip!!!
Kim and Walter (the owners) made the difference, they made us feel welcome and told us a lot about Polinesia, brought us fishing and we had a great time with them!
The 2 "fares" (bungalows) are brand new, spotless clean and built in the typical polinesian style.
Both "fares" have their own bathroom ( a few steps away) and a comunal kitchen (which is used only by the occupants of the 2 "fares", so never more than 5 people).
When you arrive to Motu Mahare, you think that the lagoon is spectacular, but you still haven't seen the other part of the island: there is another lagoon, which is even more spectacular than the other one!
Here you can see a lot of coloured fishes, cristal clear water and a gorgeous sunrise!!!
This place is so peaceful, relaxing that you really don't want to go away!
We only stayed three nights here, and we really would have wanted to stay longer, the days passed by so quickly...we went to the pearl farm by kayak in the lagoon in front of motu mahare and also to the nearby coral garden...another day we went fishing with Kim and Walter and fished barracudas and had them for dinner...we made wonderful pictures of the sunrise, relaxed at the shore...got tanned....read a book...drunk a lot of fresh coconut milk brought by Walter... cooked our food bought in the grocery store in Huahine.... really an unforgettable stay!!!
I always dream of going back one day!
