althogh we met some lovely holiday makers here, this place, this place really should be avoided as we all complained about the same things. it is a small cramped guest house with 8 to 10 rooms with a small balcony overlooking the sea which is not any where near big enough for the guests it has to cater for. The beach itself is described on their website as the best on the island. this is not true. It is very stoney and extremely narrow and not really suitable for sunbathing at all.
The place itself has not seen a broom in a long time with dirt everywhere and a coat of paint desperately needed in the rooms The aircon in our room did not work at all despite us asking the entire week if it could be fixed and also charged extra for it too !The bins were not changed at all and at the end of the week there were maggots walking around in circles at the bottom of it! The restaurant serves up third rate overpriced food which you really dont want to eat althought the dogs under the table were grateful.
The bar is a fridge with beer and wine in it that you help yourself too all at horrendously inflated prices even bty tahiti standards.the only thing good to say is that the kayaks were included so you could go for a paddle out to sea which was quite nice. we were in fact going to stay 2 weeks here but only managed four days. .
My advice? If you're going to go to tahiti then goto the neighboring island of moorea some 20 minutes away by ferry. Its much more beautiful and you dont get ripped off so much ( in tahiti a bottle of water is 7 usd , and boy do you need them !) If you want to know what moorea is like then watch the film "the bounty" with mel gibson and anthony hopkins, it'll give you some idea (and its a great film to watch too !) But dont expect this sort of paradise in tahiti.
