“Not Actually That Much Here”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

Worth a stop off for a few minutes to see the lighthouse, Bounty memorial etc. The point itself is really just a big car park with an average sort of black sand beach

“The lighthouse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012

Interesting historical site, unfortunately we chose a day when it was very busy and the car parks were overflowing. But normally its fascinating to walk around.

“Just passing through.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2012 via mobile

A nice place if your touring the island, not much to see besides the lighthouse. If you want to pass a great day in this area, I suggest making a reservation on motu Martin. The owner will come pick you up by boat and take you on this little treasure. Great place for a picnic.

“Not much to see”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

Small park and beach around the interesting white lighthouse. There is no museum, just a souvenir shop, and toilets.

“Worth a short stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2011

If travelling around Tahiti by hire car, Point Venus is worth a short stop, if only for the view of the mountains from the beach. There is also the lighthouse, of course, and a reasonable gift shop - and public restrooms, a rarity on Tahiti.
