The best of Hotel Capital is that it is situated in San Jose downtown, just one street away from the National Bank (Banco Nacional) where you can find good rates for money exchange, there's around shops, farmacies, restaurants, etc. very handy indeed.
Owner Bernardo Escobar was very kind and helpful with all the required touristic information/advice/bookings for San Jose and Costa Rica in general. Certainly the key place to arrive/depart Costa Rica.
We didn't have any trouble with the airport pick up, it was easy and reliable, same as the security box and luggage store.
The room was clean, the person with the comment of the cockroaches probably had them in his luggage, because we didn't see any in the hotel.
The price is great if you want to save some money to spend in another treats in costa Rica, specially supporting ecological activities which are fantastic in the country, we have travelled a good variety of places in the world and certainly Costa Rica is the greenest place in the world.
My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel.
