We rented a car and drove there, some roads along the way were not well paved or maintained and the car rental GPS took us through villages and blocked paths on the way through the hilly, convolutional road that leads there. There were several restaurant signs along the way but we did not have lunch or stayed over there. Once you arrive, it felt like we were at the wrong place so empty and not touristy it was, a few parking spots on an empty street and a woman asking for change to look after the car, inside the park there were several stray dogs and a security guard near what seemed to be a restroom. The park is very small, the ruins are beautiful alright, but it was not worth the almost 2 hours’ drive from San Jose. When we were leaving another small group of tourists arrived.
