“Favorite park in San José”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

What makes San José vibrant and beautiful is the diverse presence of parks in some of its most popular areas.

Parque España crowns with high trees and secret trails one of my favorite spots in downtown San José. It's a great place to go for a walk, very intimate and full of flowers and varied vegetation makes it somehow a small piece of the tropical rain forest surrounded by city traffic.

During weekends and thanks to the initiative "Enamórate de tu ciudad", it makes it the core center of many cultural, recreational, and social activities, not to be missed by any traveler.

“Thanks Contributors”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

Looked at all the contributions for places to visit in San Jose. Not a lot of great architecture in the city but this park is well worth a visit either as part of a walking tour or just to chill. It has lovely flowers and trees which we enjoyed. Often things going on around and about the park but check out the tourist website for these.

“Intimate park is a garden for lovers of culture and more..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

This Park is very close to Parque Morazan and Jardin de Paz. With its mature foliage and flowers as well as decorative fountains and sculptures this park attracts culture lovers for artists displays on the weekends and kissers and huggers at night. Lovely to visit.

We spent a lovely afternoon birding this shady park next to the Edificio Metalico and the contemporary art museum. Full of colorful birds and very relaxing.
