Casa Laurin and Ginette were amazing! We loved it there and it was definitely an oasis! The personalized help and attention was fantastic and I can't recommend this place highly enough. Next time I'm in Costa Rica, I'm definitely staying here again! Our first hotel in San Jose was so loud, we couldn't sleep at night (Villa Tournon) so then we switched to Casa Laurin after hearing it recommended. It was perfect and very quiet. Breakfast was terrific and we hated to leave once it was time to return home. Highly recommended!

I called first a hotel in Escazu and they were booked, searching online found Casa Laurin, the best B & B I ever experienced. This could be considered for anyone a home away from home, I cannot wait to return. Ginette, the owner, and her staff are warm, helpful and conscientious. The house is beautiful, and above all a really comfortable home from were to explore this beautiful country.

If you want excellent accommodation (very nice rooms in a lovely garden setting) and hosptitality (a friendly, lively, and unendingly helpful host in Ginette) then Casa Laurin is the place for you. I was in San Jose on business and stayed for a week. Glad i did! In this B&B you can be as private as you like when you need to work (given the great bedrooms & multiple lounge areas) and also meet the very interesting mix of guests that the house attracts (myself excluded, being an accountant). For example, I met a reiki master from the US who fixed my neck, a postgraduate student from UK who taught me lots about indigenous tribes, a yoga/pilates instructor who later posted me her exercise book ( possibly a hint in that for me) and Canadian professors who know a thing or 2 about central American rum. Cosa Rica appears to be a country of huge diversity, interest, colour, liveliness and friendliness - and Casa Laurin reflects all of these things.

We only stayed two nights and we wish that we had been able to spend more time at this beautiful B & B. Ginette is the perfect hostess. She arranged our day excursion and our transport to the airport. She even ordered our take-out dinner for us, had a bottle of wine available and made sure everyone was up in time to catch the shuttle to the airport in the morning.

The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and has great energy. We were able to do some meditation and yoga in the sitting room in the morning.

Ginette has created a "home away from home" atmosphere and we would most definitely go back.
