This place was recommended to us by fellow travelers in place of another hotel we did not care for. I loved it! There were a variety of rooms, all different. Beautiful grounds with a great variety of artwork throughout the twisting pathways. The room was spacious enough. We had a Standard at $49 US but it had three beds- one for luggage! Shower was fine. You could hear quite a bit as we were in room 7 right in front of the two free-use computers. We were also street side so not super quiet. All calls in Costa Rica are free as well which was helpful. Beds were comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful on every single shift. Hotel was full of foreigners from all over the world. Two restaurants were less than two blocks away. Local tour company in the hotel has every option you could possibly ask for. Also check out "Chile Tours" and ask for Jorge. Much lower key than 40 people on a tour bus! He sticks to your schedule. The breakfast is honestly worth every cent. There were 10 different breads, homemade jams, pancakes and eggs to order, fruit of every kind, many regional dishes and it was not the same thing each day. Still dreaming about the coffee!
