Stayed at the Balmoral for two nights. Found the staff to be very accommodating and gracious.
The first room was located in the back of the hotel and was cramped and dark. We requested an upgrade ($10/night) and got a room on the front side overlooking Central Avenue. The street scenes are fun to watch. There was virtually no noise when the windows and curtains were closed.
Breakfast buffet was good with sausage, fruit, breads, and eggs cooked to order.
Location is convenient for downtown business, restaurants, and several great bakeries....
