The Intercontinental Real is a very beautiful hotel both outside and in. When you first walk in the main atrium is 6 stories high with a glass elevator and reminds me of a Holland America cruise ship. The lobby has a good variety of shops and restaurants, and everything is very upscale. The main dining room which is usually buffet style is quite good everything is 5-star. However, it is definately a business hotel, although it does have a beautiful lawn area where they hold weddings. It has a business center, several meeting rooms, and all of the rooms have desks and probably data ports for your laptop (I am not computer savy, so I don't know for sure, but I assume that what those outlet-things were). The rooms are VERY small, but so are all of the rooms at hotels in Latin America. It is across the street from a mall so if you need to do any shopping it's a good location, but it's not really close to the airport or anything else for that matter. I would use it as a hotel for 1 or 2 nights either at the beginning or the end of your trip, but I definatley would not make it my destination. It is a world-class hotel, but it's not a resort and there's nothing conveniently closeby.
