First off I would like to remind people reading these reviews that customer service in Costa Rica is not part of the culture, so I am reveiwing this comparing this hotel to others I have stayed in here in San Jose.
The hotel is very clean, fairly new, and reasonably tranquil. The staff are friendly and I felt management does show a reasonable level of concern for guests.
Location is a bit out of town close to the only shopping mall, Multi Plaza. Shuttles run every hour to the Mall and are free. Taxis are cheap and $10 will get you to the city centre or airport.
No in room safes yet, but the manager stated this is a priority. Safe deposit box in the lobby was FREE.
Internet was a big disapointment with ony one computer working (out of three) for the entier week I was there, this is typical of the Costa Rican customer service!
Pizza Hut and Rosti Pollo besides it but do not eat at the Rosti Pollo I never thought it would be possible to screw up roasted chicken but they manage to do so. Better option is the Outback Steak House 5 minutes away. Unfortunatly Costa Rica is not a gourmet paradise, frankly spaeking the food in this country is horrible.
Having stayed before at the Holiday Inn, Intercontinental, Marriott, and a few other hotels this is my choice to come back to.
