I recently had some dental work done in Costa Rica and stayed at the Marriott Courtyard.

The staff was helpful, the room was very clean and they seemed
legitimately concerned with our comfort and happiness.

The internet access was included at no charge, very fast and they went out of their way to ensure that it worked for us.

Escazu is a very nice area surrounded by good restaurants and is safe with a lot of security. Across from the hotel is a small shopping center with several extremely good restaurants. The fact that you can walk to the center and have Cuban, Argentine, Italian, French, Peruvian, Mexican and American food is a plus.

The only downside to the hotel was that at night, you could hear the busy Pan American highway from our room. Perhaps being situated in another area may have alleviated the problem.

There is a small pool and the lobbies are nice with pleasant scents piped in.

The restaurant is not the greatest- typical hotel food but the meeting facilities, internet access and business amenities are fine.

The security at the hotel as well as in the shopping center was more than adequate and we felt safe.

All in all, a nice place to stay and perfect for the business traveler too.

Great pools and hot tub, very clean. awesome food. breakfast buffet included and amazing. Constuction is going on...that was very annoying.

Great well used but well maintained and accomodating gym.

Very helpful consierge and taxi drivers. We took taxi to city and our driver spoke excellent english and acted more as a tour guide.

This hotel delivers what it promises: Clean rooms, friendly staff and OK food.

Located in one of the best zones of San Jose is very close to the "office district".

If you are going to San Jose for business, and not leisure, definitely a good place to stay.
