“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

We were there with our group and our food choices were varied and all of excellent quality, incredible ribs, whole fish, pasta with shrimp, steak with mushrooms and chicken in lemon sauce and honey. Burgers incredible. Our group say thanks to the entire team of Buru Restaurant for everything . Next time we return to Costa Rica I will definitely return this place.

“Very Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013 via mobile

We came for breakfast based on the good Trip Advisor reviews. Totally a bust. Limited menu for breakfast. No potatoes. Very basic eggs and toast for $7. No bargain. Cafe Milagro is much better and more variety.

“Best Pina Colladas in Costa Rica”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Everything I had here was great. The hotel Mimos (where the restaurant is located) is great too. This hotel has two pools and is very relaxing. The fish tacos were really good. And this place has, so far, the best pina colladas made with fresh ingredients!

“Surprising”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

You know how when you're hungry, things taste better? Well I was full when I arrived and hesitantly ordered the fish filet with passionfruit sauce and "pure" (mashed potatoes that night) based on reviews, then magically found an appetite after smelling it and didn't regret it at all. Place was pretty empty on a Sunday night so I wasn't sure I picked the right place or if it was worth the taxi ride there but it absolutely was. Fish sauce was quite buttery so prob not the healthiest but worth the splurge. Tres leches dessert and buru drink were fantastic. Fish tacos were also good but if you're sharing the passionfruit fish with anyone, let them eat their dish first or theirs won't taste as good and they will pine after yours the rest of the meal. It reminded me of a more upscale american dish so prob not traditional CR food, but among my best fish dishes ever so forget that part. Credit cards accepted, great English speaking waiter, homemade desserts, reasonable prices for food and drink quality, and outdoor setting.... Do it!!

“Que Bueno!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

This place was very relaxing and comfortable. The wait staff was very personal and accomidating. They were very patient with my group's Spanish skills (which is close to none) and very helpful. The welcoming environment and delicious food options made it very appealing to eat at multiple times a week. They have outdoor seating and a cover over tables. There was nice, acustic music and relaxed lighting. There is a wide variety of food options with very reasonable prices! Great restaurant, food, and staff!
