“Good experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

Good hotel, the rooms are spacious, nothing fancy but Ok. The food was average. Manuel Antonio beaches are great, we spent a lot of time there so we didn't even use the hotel's pool. I will recommend this as Ok.

“Faded glory”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

We felt the rooms looked like army barracks from the ourside, but the inside surprised us; it was more comfortable than we would have expected. The bathroom was spacious with a big walk-in shower, and the room provided room for a fridge and a little seat. Unfortunately, despite the room's comfort, everything about the hotel screamed faded glory; an early 80's american style. Although the room was clean the pool wasn't; the water smelled odd and we saw bandaids floating around, also in the jacuzzi area. Dinner was average, but what was funny is that the restaurant seemed to be used as a personell hangout; very loud music, people walking in and out to have a beer at the bar. We were grateful that the waiter at some point asked whether we preferred the music turned down a little (because honestly we could barely hear each other), but to us it only confirmed this hotel has seen better days. The location isn't very interesting or cozy next to the main road either.

“Great hotel in a natural area!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Been there for the first part of the honeymoon trip. It was amazing!!! The room was nice and accordingly for what the area is, natural, rustic and tropical. Don't expect a room like the Hilton, Ritz Carlton, Marriott, it's basic but very good. The staff is incredibly helpful. They arranged our canopy tour and rafting in minutes. Canopy zip line at the hotel is very good, nice guides. Breakfast is also basic but very good and enough. Happy hour is fabulous, cocktails and snacks cheap and delicious. We had dinner at the hotel 2 nights and food was incredible, specially that fish with garlic sauce and butter and i don't know what extra secret ingredient else there. Space to park your car with a guard during the night. Saw monkeys and othe Only 5 minutes to Quepos and 10 minutes to Manuel Antonio. Totally recommended.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012 via mobile

Rooms are out dated, air conditioning sounded like an airplane taking off.. Was like sleeping on the M25 motorway. !! Could hear everything the neighbour said. Beds were awful, soft and old. And the fridge sounded like a shotgun every 20 minutes

“Great hotel but look for your wallets and things”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

In early October I was in this hotel for one night, the attention of the staff was good. The food at reasonable prices. The canopy was enjoyed by my son and my nice. Clean pool.Nice areas with rainforest gardens. Rooms are comfortable and nice. But the wallet of my sister was stolen somebody took money from her purse and a credit card which was used in an area near the hotel. It is a shame becase we had really enjoyed the time there. :(
