We stayed 5 nights out of 15 here enjoying the beautiful gardens, walking trails, swimming pool with jaccuzi and a pool table under a huge thatch roof provided fun for all! Our room also included a great breakfast with resident spider monkeys and butterflies!
If you walk the long loop into the rain forest be prepared for the REAL DEAL! We had a few different groups go out and all declare that it got the blood pumping when you feel lost and see a coiled snake, alligator etc. etc.
The main attraction is Manual Antonio, which is well worth the aprox. 20 minuite drive but we had rental cars so the distance was not a problem. Even if you paid a taxi for excursions to Manual Antonio area it would be worth it as this place is a great retreat to paradise for a great price.
The additional benefits to staying here are that there is light traffic/noise. Follow the Quepos airport signs to find it across the way from the hospital.
Kiaking through the mangroves was also a great experience!
(we were on the water for 2.5 hours which was perfect to see wildlife but not get tired of rowing in the humid/hot mangrove.)
