This "hostal" over rates itself. The supposed communal kitchen is unlit, filthy, and there are no basic ingredients with which to cook. You share it with others, and there is no hot water for cleaning dishes. They say there is hot water in the showers, but we had no evidence of this. They closed the common area at 10:30, so all guests had to go to their tiny, over-priced rooms to listen to road noise.
I would avoid this place, there are other much better options in Quepos, but better yet, go up to Manuel Antonio for fresh air, quiet, and some reasonable options like the Costa Linda, which has tiny cramped rooms but a terrific, cheap breakfast and much better vibe overall.
