The cantina scene is fun but we asked for frozen margaritas and got off the grocery store shelf mix (I saw the bottle) with big ice cubes floating in it leaving room for five sips of liquid - and then choked on the bill of 6,600 Colones/$13.20! That is the same price the Mexican restaurant I work at in the U.S. charges for all real juice + 100% agave tequila in a pint glass margaritas. The experience left a bad feeling as a welcome back on our third trip to Puerto Jimenez as the margaritas we had two years ago at Juanita's were made fresh for half the price. Come on new guys! This kind of chance is the reason we spent less time in Costa Rica in favor of Nicaragua and Panama this year.
