The Dome is very conveniently located in a small shopping plaza on the main coastal highway (Costanera) in Uvita. This is a mostly commercial center just inland from the Bahía Ballena national park.
The Dome offers excellent food after a more US-based cuisine. I have had coffee there before and recently had a wonderful breakfast burrito. I had hoped to try the Eggs Benedict, a regular menu item, but thought it might be a little rich for the long hot drive I was starting - back to San José. The coffee was freshly ground and top notch.
It is an open air restaurant with a solid roof and fans. It gives you feeling of shelter, but allows for observation of the goings on at the plaza. It is somewhat of an expat hangout, both The Dome and the plaza.
The staff is very alert and friendly. WiFi is available with a password. The bill for the burrito and coffee was about $8. This is a little more costly than most Costa Rican breakfasts, but it was well worth it. Also, Uvita is a tourist town.
